| Gaia is a sweet, even-tempered female with great genetics. She had her first cria in June of 2009, but unfortunately it was a stillbirth. The cria, a 24-pound female, was a dystocia and just too much for Gaia to handle on her first delivery. We have repeated that breeding as of 9/5/09, to Bisturi, the renowned gray male owned by Pine Forty Alpacas. We do not anticipate any further birthing problems with her, as this was simply a fluke of nature. Both her dam and grand-dam have had many easy births and we are sure she will follow in their footsteps. She is reproductively sound and comes with Benvenuti Farm's full reproductive guarantees. |
